Messages to Students

Students are advised to check the site – http://dgl3jun2009.wordpress.com/ on a regular basis as comments will be left on each blog posting and may need additional work to ensure a final mark can be given.

Good luck,

Paul.

The brief also contains vital information on key areas in which their design needs to meet.  The students ability to meet these key elemets will be reflected as part of their final grade.

Introduction

This is the online blog / diary for the May / June – 2009 Digital Grpahics – Level 3 group.

Over the last 4 weeks students have been learning how to use the digital graphics package Photoshop CS 2, looking at key areas such as – Selection Tools, Image Manipulation, Image Correction as well as effective use of Layer and Masking Techniques.

Each of the students were then asked to look at covering 3 key points, exploring such areas as:

  1. Plan of Action- This will need to include a written proposal / mood board & short presentation that meets a pre-defined client brief supplied by Creative Media Productions.NB: See student proposals / mood boards / presentations.
  2. Creative Processs- This will need to document the process of creating two or more designs within Photoshop, looking at utilising skills learnt within taught sessions.NB: Use the catagory links on the right to browse through the student blogs.
  3. End of Project Reflection – This will need to show constructive reflection of the final product. – Does it meet the original brief ?  Could it be improved ?  What challenges were faced etc… ?NB: Use the catagory links on the right to browse through the student blogs.
